The Cheese Connection Fermented Sauce, Chili Peppers Fermenting

Fermentation is the process of breaking down sugars and carbohydrates in food using bacteria or yeast. This process not only creates a unique flavour profile but has a number of health benefits. Fermented foods are rich in probiotics, which help to improve gut health and boost the immune system. They also increase the bioavailability of nutrients in food, making it easier for your body to absorb them. 

We make our sauces using traditional minimal intervention fermentation techniques, which means that they are packed with both flavour and nutrition whilst maintaining the pure taste of the fruit/vegetable used. We use only pristine, market fresh fruits and vegetables and our sauces are free from preservatives and artificial additives. So not only are they delicious they are also good for you!


Why with Cheese?

We decided to make fermented sauces to go with our cheese as we believe it is a match made in culinary heaven.

The complex flavours and funkiness of fermented sauces complement the rich and creamy texture of cheese. By cutting through the richness of the cheese, in a similar way to the acidity in white wine, the sauces help balance the flavours and create a more well rounded taste, sometimes bringing out flavours in the cheese that were undetected when eaten on its own.

For these reasons we highly recommend adding to both our hot dishes and our cheese platters.
